Mt 24:42-51
Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the householder had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eats and drinks with the drunken, the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will punish him, and put him with the hypocrites; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.

Develop Your Spiritual Genius
What is it that jumps out at you today? For me, it's actually that first word, "Watch." The first phrase is, "Watch therefore, for you do not know the day your Lord is coming." Watch. At Dynamic Catholic, we're always trying to develop different attributes in the team, and three of them are committed, coachable, and aware. So is a team member committed? Is a team member coachable? Excellence is available to all who are coachable. And then awareness. And awareness comes in many, many different ways. It's a spiritual discipline and it's a spiritual genius. And so Jesus is talking about awareness here. He's talking about spiritual awareness. He's saying, "Pay attention. Be aware. Watch, for you don't know when you'll be called upon." You just don't know. And so it's not a matter of getting ready when it's time, it's a matter of being ready all the time because then it doesn't matter when it's time. How do we need to prepare ourselves for our day? How do we need to prepare ourselves? Have a great day. Remember, don't just be yourself. You're created in the image of God. Become the-very-best-version-of-yourself, all that God created you to be.
