Lk 7:31-35
“To what then shall I compare the men of this generation, and what are they like? They are like children sitting in the market place and calling to one another,
‘We piped to you, and you did not dance;
we wailed, and you did not weep.’
For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine; and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of man has come eating and drinking; and you say, ‘Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is justified by all her children.”

Your Quest for Wisdom
What is it that jumps out at you today, today's reading? You have the children calling to each other, they're piping to each other, but other kids won't dance or won't mourn. And I think very often, Jesus plays music through our lives, but we won't dance. We're pounding over something. Or we don't want to engage with God. The word that jumped out at me and sort of unrelated was wisdom. Yet wisdom is justified by all her children. And our quest for wisdom and not only to know things, not just knowledge, but wisdom, to live truth. And how earnest is our quest for wisdom? How intentional is our quest for wisdom? I think it jumped out at me because I hadn't been reading as much as I usually do lately. And one of the reasons is I think I've been going blind. I didn't realize I need these glasses. But I think that's one of the reasons the word jumped out at me. And so you can see how the word-- Holy Spirit uses to capture attention may be very different to the word the Holy Spirit uses to capture a thousand other people's attention. But that was the word that jumped out at me today. What is the word that jumped out at you today? And how is it inviting you to grow in the Lord, to grow in your faith, to walk in the gospel today, out in the world as you live your life? Have a great day. Remember, don't just be yourself. Be all that God created you to be, the-very-best-version-of-yourself.
