Gospel

Lk 8:1-3

Soon afterward he went on through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Mag′dalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Jo-an′na, the wife of Chu′za, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their means.

It’s time to take back your life.

It’s time to slow down to the speed of joy.

All revolutions have a moment when they begin. This is your moment.

The Truth About Evil Spirits

What is it that jumped out at you today? For me, it's the word evil spirits. That's why I raised the question before we began. Evil spirits. There is evil in this world. And to pretend otherwise is to set ourselves up to be taken advantage of and hurt in catastrophic ways. C.S. Lewis said in two mistakes, pay too much attention to the devil or pay too little attention to the devil. There is evil in this world. There are evil spirits and they want to take a hold of us. Sometimes in our entirety, it could be through a massive addiction. But sometimes through just one relationship in our life, one aspect of our life.

And that's why I ask you, where do you sense evil at this time in your life? And what do we do about it? We recognize it. We acknowledge it. We ask God, it'll cast this far from us, cast this far from our life, cast this far from the people we love. We pray, we fast, and we ask God to take all evil from our lives, even and especially the evil that we are not aware of that we don't even recognize. Have a great day. And remember, Be Bold, Be Catholic.
