Your Moment with Jesus

Welcome back to Radical and Relevant, where each day we explore the radical message of the gospel. It was radical 2,000 years ago. It is radical still today. It wants to have a radical impact on our lives and radical in the best, most positive sense of the word. And it remains intensely relevant to every aspect of human life. Today's gospel is from Luke chapter 9 verses 18 through 22. Now it happened that as Jesus was praying alone, the disciples were with Him, and He asked them, "Who do the people say that I am"?And they answered, "Some say John the Baptist, but others say Elijah and others yet say that you are one of the old prophets risen. And he said to them, "Who do you say that I am"? And Peter answered, "The Christ of God." But Jesus charged and commanded them to tell this to no one, saying, "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes and be killed. And on the third day, be raised." What jumps out at you today? And I wrote about this and we discovered Jesus. I call it the Jesus question.

And like Jesus is here, he's saying to his disciples, "Who do you say that I am"? And that would be a moment, right? If Jesus said it to you, "Who do you say that I am"? And maybe there are times in our lives when we're very clear about that, and there are times in our lives when we have doubts and we have confusions. And so what is the takeaway for you today? Is there a word? Is there a phrase or is there an idea? For me, the idea is to ask Jesus, "Keep revealing yourself to me, O Lord," so that I can answer this question ever more clearly, ever more completely.
