Jn 6:30-35
So they said to him, “Then what sign do you do, that we may see, and believe you? What work do you perform? Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world.” They said to him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.

Reconnect to Your Faith
Hi, I'm Matthew Kelly.
Welcome back to Radical & Relevant, where we each day are looking to anchor
our day in the gospel. 'Cause that's how we anchor our lives in the gospel. You can't
just take your whole life and anchor it in the gospel. We have to anchor our lives in
the gospel one day at a time, one situation at a time. And so each day we come here, we
look for a word, a phrase, or an idea from the gospel, the genius of Jesus, His life and
teachings, to anchor our day in that gospel.
Today's reading is from
John 6:30-35. "So they said to him, 'Then what sign do you do that we may see and
believe in you? What work do you perform? Our fathers ate the mana in the wilderness. As
it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.' Jesus then said to them, 'Truly,
truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven. My Father
gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down from
heaven and gives life to the world.' They said to Him, 'Lord, give us this bread
always.' And Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall not
hunger. And he who believes in me shall not thirst.'"
Powerful, one
of the most powerful lines in Scriptures. Jesus says, "I am the bread of life. Who comes
to me shall not hunger. He who believes in me shall not thirst." Let's connect today
with our hunger. What are you hungry for? And are you bringing that hunger to Jesus? Are
you trying to work it out on your own? Connect today with our faith. You know, if we
feel our faith is strong, let's be grateful for that. If we feel our faith is wavering,
let's ask God, "Lord, increase my faith." That's a great mantra through the day, right?
"Lord, increase my faith. Lord, increase my faith. Lord, increase my faith." Come to Him
in our hunger, in our belief, knowing that He is going to provide. Providence of God is
an amazing concept. It's an amazing reality. And it's something we don't think about or
talk about anywhere near enough. Have an amazing day. Remember, Be Bold, Be Catholic.
