Divine Mercy is—Generous, Hopeful. Powerful. Compassionate. Glorious.
I am a pilgrim of mercy.
Today is a historic moment in your life and the end of our journey. We have been on this path together for 33 days. Congratulations. You did it. I am sure there are many who didn't make it. We pray they will get back on the path and complete this Divine Mercy consecration soon. But today is your day. I hope you will find a way to celebrate it. This consecration is a radical act of love. It is an act of radical generosity. Deep down, we all desire to make the radical and complete gift of self that you are going to make to God today.
Saint Anthony of Padua advises you today. By his whole self, he redeemed your whole self so that he alone might possess you wholly. Therefore, love the Lord your God with all your heart. Do not withhold even the smallest part of yourself. Love wholly, not in part. Today, you're offering your whole self to Jesus. Don't hold anything back. Your consecration is a declaration before God. You are joining your yes with Mary's yes, with Joseph's yes, and with the yes of the disciples, and the yes of all the angels and saints throughout history.
Consecration to Divine Mercy is a life-changing act of surrender. It's not just a prayer or a devotion. It's a commitment to place your life, your hopes, dreams, relationships, career, and your struggles in the hands of Jesus with complete trust. At the heart of this consecration is a simple yet profound declaration: "Jesus, I trust in you." What does it mean to trust in Jesus? Trust isn't passive. It's active. It's a daily decision to believe that Jesus is with you, guiding you, and working for your good even when life feels uncertain.
What is our biggest obstacle to trusting Jesus in our modern culture? Our delusional and disordered desire to control everything. Trust means letting go of the need to control everything and instead relying on his wisdom and providence. It's easy to say, but in practice, trust often requires us to face our fears, release our anxieties, and step into the unknown with faith. When you consecrate yourself to Divine Mercy, you are saying, "Jesus, I trust that your mercy is greater than my sins. I trust that your plan is better than mine. I trust that you will never abandon me no matter what life throws at me." This trust transforms the way you live. It gives you peace when you're confused, courage when you face challenges, and preserves your hope in life's darkest moments. The rays of light streaming from Jesus' heart in the image of Divine Mercy symbolize the ocean of mercy flowing from his sacred heart. That is the ocean of mercy that he offers to each of us. But like any gift, mercy must be received. Humility opens the door of our hearts. Trust allows his mercy to restructure our lives. You see, our lives don't need a small shift here and a tweak there. They need to be completely restructured to allow his mercy to fill our hearts, heal our wounds, and guide us on the path to holiness. The endless mercy of Jesus transforms the way we treat others too. Place a bucket under a dripping faucet and it will eventually overflow. It has no choice. As we allow Jesus to fill our hearts with mercy, we become channels of his peace, compassion, and love, reminding others that they too can place their trust in Him.
Jesus, I trust in You. These five words can change your life. They invite you into a deeper relationship with Jesus. This Divine Mercy consecration is an invitation to live with unwavering trust in the one who holds all things in his hands and the plans he has for you and your life. Amazing things become possible when we surrender ourselves unreservedly to Jesus. And that is exactly what you are going to do today by consecrating yourself to Jesus, the Divine Mercy. This is a moment of amazing grace. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see.
Haven't we all felt wretched at times? Don't we all need to be saved? We've all been lost. We may be lost right now, but his grace and mercy will lead us home. And we are all blind in so many ways, but his mercy is opening our eyes. The Lord has promised good to me and to you. It's time to open our hearts to his endless goodness. It is goodness that we desire. The goodness of God is available to everyone, everywhere, and at all times. Isn't it time, once and for all, to turn away from the meaninglessness of our age and live a deeply meaningful life? You cannot live a deeply meaningful life by filling your life with meaningless things and activities. Isn't it time, once and for all, to turn away from all the seductive, shiny things of this world and fill our lives with God and all his goodness? Divine Mercy heals us and prepares us for mission. Allow Jesus, the Divine Mercy to fill your life with love, compassion, kindness, gratitude, and a boundless generosity. Take risks with your goodness. Go beyond your self-imposed comfortable boundaries. Test the limits of your goodness. Find new horizons of possibility. Don't just love people. Astonish people with your love. Don't just dabble in generosity. Live a life of staggering generosity. Don't just set out to do a little good in this world when it's convenient and an opportunity arises, go out of your way to find astonishingly inconvenient opportunities to fill this world with goodness. And now, it's time to consecrate ourselves to Jesus Christ, the Divine Mercy. Trust, surrender, believe, receive.
Lord Jesus Christ, true God and true man, bread of life, the alpha and the omega, beloved Son of God and loving incarnate, the Divine Mercy. I consecrate myself to you today without reservation. I come before you today as I am, weak, wounded, and broken, but hopeful and yearning for your mercy. Remind me that I am a child of God first and foremost. Heal the wounds of my past, guide my feet in the present, and protect my future with your care and provision. Show me what is possible when I trust in you. Free me from the guilt, shame, regret, and insecurity that prevent me from fully embracing your promises. Lord Jesus Christ, face of the Father's mercy, Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, I consecrate myself to your Divine Mercy today without reservation. I hold nothing back. I surrender completely and absolutely to your goodness. There is nothing I can do to make you love me. There is nothing I can do to lose your love. All that is left is to receive graciously that which I don't deserve but can't live without. I open my heart to you in trust and surrender. Fill my heart with your Divine Mercy until it overflows.
Jesus, Lord of mercy, I stand before you today with an open heart. Everything is on the table. Take what you want to take and give what you want to give. When your mercy is uncomfortable, difficult, or inconvenient, remind me that your mercy is always an invitation to a better life. Lord Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace, I consecrate myself to you today without reservation. Fill my life with radical love, tender compassion, gentle kindness, endless gratitude, and boundless generosity. Send me out into the world as a pilgrim of mercy. Mary, Mother of Mercy, you stood at the foot of the cross as blood and water poured forth from your son's side to bathe the world in mercy. Teach me to trust wholeheartedly in God's unfathomable plans for my life today, tomorrow, and forever. Jesus, I trust in you. Amen.
Thank you, Ambassadors.
You are changing the world.
Have a great day.
Have a great day.
